God’s Timing

“You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.” Romans 5:6

We know in life there are many examples where we can see things happen in a timely manner. At least by God’s initiative and time table, that is. Almost one thousand years prior to Christ’s birth, Solomon’s wisdom tells us in fact there is a time for everything. Things happen for a reason and what takes place or develops before an important event is not arbitrary but rather necessary and needful for the event to take place.

This reminds me of how an unborn baby develops within a mother’s womb and birth takes place. A lot has to happen before the event. But when the time comes, the body sends a hormone to activate the uterus to contract.

Though the whole world was crying out for a Savior, He was born exactly the right time and in the right place.
Jesus was born to take away our sins while we were still under the law and sinners.
Prophets who told of His birth and His death, pinpointed the exact place and the circumstances.
And thus, Jesus was born not a minute too early nor a minute too late as God predestined before the world was made.

And at the right time and in the right place God determined our birth and rebirth providing redemption for all who believe.
