Divine Alignment
“Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.” John 5:19
Jesus emphatically let those who questioned his works know that everything he did aligned with the will of God. When he healed on the Sabbath the religious leaders questioned him, saying he was breaking the Mosaic law. Jesus who was God in the flesh submitted himself to the will of God, although he had the authority to do things on his own. He had a direct connection and understanding of God’s will at all times and never deviated from that path. Jesus also told his disciples that apart from him they could do nothing. So to do His will they would need to abide in his word and his love.
This reminds me of something I learned about childbirth. There is a gland that produces the hormone that starts labor in pregnancy. When the unborn baby is developed enough to leave the womb, this gland sends this hormone (oxytocin) to the uterus to begin the process of birth. But sometimes there is a misalignment between the position of this gland and the uterus. Fortunately, there are Chiropractors who specialize in these types of pregnancies. When they make the right adjustment the woman is then able to give birth.
The only way to be aligned with the will of God is to know his Word and receive His Truth. When we act upon God’s Word, His divine work takes place. God has to sometimes realign us in relationship to Himself. When we wait on Him, we are sure to be in line with His divine plan with maturity, instead of experiencing a premature birth.
“But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.” Galatians 4:4
