God will be Exalted

“The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”
Hurricane Milton first originated as a possible tropical storm. It wasn’t until it entered the gulf that the wind gained momentum developing into a hurricane.
We really don’t know the initial origin of any storm, its not until we can feel the wind and see its aftermath that we know it exists. (John 3:8)
Such is the case when the Holy Spirit comes. Sometimes it comes as a gentle breeze bringing about someone’s salvation, and at other times it manifests itself as a tropical storm or hurricane. One thing is certain, where it impacts, there is a definite, defining change and glorious aftermath. (John 3:3)
The power of the Holy Spirit’s wind descended upon Jesus’ disciples gathered together waiting for the promise of God’s Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost. In the aftermath, they were able to go out and preach the gospel, whereby, the Holy Spirit gave each one who listened the ability to understand it in their own language. There were tongues of fire on the disciples that day, manifesting the Word’s ability to save. God’s Word, that is.
(Acts 2)
When we speak God’s Word, the Holy Spirit does the rest, giving understanding to everyone who tunes in to listen. Sometimes its conviction, clarity and comprehension and then salvation. And at other times it is physical, but it all results in faith in the One Who Saves, Jesus Christ. (Isaiah 55:11)
Hurricanes are manifested through the natural atmosphere and from principalities and powers in high places, leaving behind the signs of destruction, doubts, fears and devastation. But even in the midst of the fiercest storm that is hurled by the devil’s intent, God always gives His sign by proving His Goodness and Faithfulness through His Word and our love expressed. (Psalm 46:8-9)
In this last episode of a hurricane, tornadoes and the onslaught of floods and devastation, there stood a lighthouse, shining out its beam of light beckoning those in distress to His eternal safety. (John 8:12)
It brought for me increased faith in God’s Word and a renewed boldness and opportunity to witness His love as I focused not on the storm or its threats, but on God’s Word and promises especially in Psalm 46:
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
Psalm 46:10
It’s not about the wind, but what God does through it, powerful enough to bring Revelation:
His love, Mercy and Grace to All
Who Embrace Him.
